Francois du Plessis
Augmentation over automation. Help me think better, do not think for me.
Francois has spent 26 years inside aerospace and defence engineering. Most recently Chief Engineer at Halcon in Abu Dhabi developing next-generation guided weapons, with earlier principal-engineering roles across South Africa and the UAE, building Guidance, Navigation and Control departments from the ground up and standing up engineering academies. His doctorate is in Electronic Engineering, on machine learning applied to inertial sensor calibration. He now leads Grey Matter Academy, where his framework is AI-augmented Thinking - sharpening engineers' judgement rather than replacing it.
Systems Thinking: From First Principles to First Design
You know the theory. Nobody taught you where to begin.
AI-Augmented Engineering Design
Think first, then let AI accelerate the engineering - not replace the judgement.
AI-Augmented Autonomous Systems Design
Design safe, defensible autonomous systems with AI accelerating your judgement, not replacing it.
GNC Engineering
